Personalities from Rangers past look back and share their memories
Second team player Barry Clapham worked on the Corporation buses, and because the second team had drawn Eastmoor away in a cup fixture he arranged for the second team to travel in style by arranging the use of a Corporation bus. Barry’s driving the bus and once in Wakefield gets lost, so he stops to get directions “Go straight over the roundabout” advised the local, and yes Barry drove straight onto the roundabout, getting the bus stuck on the island. The players had to get off the bus and push it off the island, unsurprisingley they lost the game because they had spent all their energy pushing the bus!
