ADAM'S IN FOR LANCS ADAM'S IN FOR LANCS

Rangers winger-come-second rower Adam Jeffries has made the Lancashire squad of 17 for the first inter-county match against Cumbria this weekend. His Rangers coach Craig Farrimond is assistant coach for the county and Adam's the only one from an intial six of our players who were in contention to make it.

Ben Whitehead, who was going to be the starting line-up, was unfortunate to miss out due to a technicality after the RFL ruled he was ineligable. Ben signed professionally with Huddersfield as a junior and needed to have re-registered back with his junior club Saddleworth by the age of 21 but he'd missed that deadline after going to Australia.
